The system management capabilities cover operations such as
collect device info
reboot device
locate device
run a command
These functions allow you to manage your devices easily. Example video bellow shows system rebooting, which can be helpful in various scenarios, such as troubleshooting issues.
The help option gives the user a quick overview of the command capabilities:
./braiins-toolbox system --help
System-related commands - data collection, reboot, exec, ...Usage: braiins-toolbox system [OPTIONS] <COMMAND>Commands: collect-data Collect data from miners reboot Reboot miners locate-device Enable/Disable locate device mode execute Execute command or script on miner set-network Set network configurationOptions: --pool-presets-file-path <FILE> Path to file with pool presets -p, --password <PASSWORD> Override default password -t, --timeout <DURATION> Timeout for network operations [default: 10s] -r, --scan-rate <RATE> Number of IP addresses scanned per second. The user can collect data from the Antminer S19 series of devices (running on the stock manufacturer firmware or Braiins OS), by using the collect-data subcommand. This command comes in handy for the user to analyze the hardware data from the Antminers S19 of interest. It is recommended to collect the data and send it to the Braiins support before the first batch of installations.
This can be achieved using the following command:
./braiins-toolbox system collect-data [OPTIONS] <IP_LIST|--ip-file <FILE>>
where:
the fact that system collect-data command is used, tells the Toolbox that it should collect data from the miners
[OPTIONS] is a (possibly empty) list of options to be used during discovery scanning
[IP_LIST] is a list of IP addresses or ranges separated by space(s) with each member having the form of <O1>.<O2>.<O3>.<O4>, where each <Oi> is either an integer number between 0 and 255, range of two integers between 0 and 255 (i.e., I1-I2 with I1 ⤠I2) or symbol * representing the whole range
or instead of [IP_LIST] it is possible to apply IP addresses as an input from a text file with --ip-file <FILE>
Note: The data is stored in a folder called collected-data.
Calling help command serves as a quick description of the command:
./braiins-toolbox system collect-data --help

List of IP addresses or rangesOptions: -o, --output-dir <DIR> Path to directory where the resulting archive should be stored [default: ./] -e, --encrypt Use this flag to specify whether the resulting archive should be encrypted or not. Recommended if you want to share the device info archive via email services Gzip-ed tar archive will be encrypted using aes-128-cbc cipher and password "braiins". You can decrypt it using openssl if you wish to look inside. Example command `openssl aes-128-cbc -d -md md5 -nosalt -pass pass:braiins -in input.tar.gz.enc -out output.tar.gz` -i, --ip-file <FILE> Path to a file containing a list of IP addresses or ranges, one per line --include-public-ips This switch removes the restriction that only private and link-local IP addresses are scanned by default -c, --concurrency <CONCURRENCY> Maximum number of data collection tasks running at the same time [default: 50] --pool-presets-file-path <FILE> Path to file with pool presets -p, --password <PASSWORD> Override default password -t, --timeout <DURATION> Timeout for network operations [default: 10s] -r, --scan-rate <RATE> Number of IP addresses scanned per second. Users can reboot devices by running the reboot subcommand as follows. The command works on devices with Braiins OS version 23.03 or newer, or Bitmain stock FW, or MicroBT stock FW.
./braiins-toolbox system reboot [OPTIONS] <IP_LIST|--ip-file <FILE>>
where:
the fact that system reboot command is used, tells the Toolbox that it should reboot the devices

proceed with caution and use it at your own risk!
./braiins-toolbox system set-network <dhcp|static>[OPTIONS] <IP_LIST|--ip-file <FILE>>
where:
system set-network tells the Toolbox that it should change network configuration for miners running supported version of Braiins OS or Bitmain stock FW as requested
where first argument <dhcp|static> defines network protocol to be set on devices
[OPTIONS] is a (possibly empty) list of options to be used during discovery scanning and locating devices
[IP_LIST] is a list of IP addresses or ranges separated by space(s) with each member having the form of <O1>.<O2>.<O3>.<O4>, where each <Oi> is either an integer number between 0 and 255, range of two integers between 0 and 255 (i.e. I1-I2 with I1 ⤠I2) or symbol * representing the whole range
or instead of [IP_LIST] it is possible to apply IP addresses as an input from a text file with --ip-file <FILE>
Calling the help command serves as a quick description of the command:
./braiins-toolbox system set-network --help

--result-format: sets the output format for per-device results (table or csv, default table); requires --print-results
--result-file: writes the per-device results to a file instead of stderr; requires --print-results
The user can set static network on the selected miners.
./braiins-toolbox system set-network static --help
Be very careful, incorrect configuration may disrupt your operations and cause your devices to be unreachableSet static network configuration. You must specify all the options (except hostname) when switching from DHCP mode.If devices are already in Static mode, you can leave out options you don't want to modify.Examples (make sure to replace example values with real values): - switch device 192.168.1.2 from DHCP to Static mode and keep current IP address: - ./braiins-toolbox system set-network static --ip {{miner.ip}} --netmask 255.255.255.0 --gateway 192.168.1.1 --dns 1.1.1.1 --dns 8.8.8.8 --hostname Antminer 192.168.1.2 - change only IP for devices 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.1.10 and 192.168.1.11: - ./braiins-toolbox system set-network static --ip 192.168.1.10-11 192.168.1.2-3Usage: braiins-toolbox system set-network static [OPTIONS] <IP_LIST|--ip-file <FILE>> <--ip <IP>|--netmask <NETMASK>|--gateway <GATEWAY>|--dns <DNS>|--hostname <HOSTNAME>>Arguments: [IP_LIST]... List of IP addresses or rangesOptions: -i, --ip-file <FILE> Path to a file containing a list of IP addresses or ranges, one per line --include-public-ips This switch removes the restriction that only private and link-local IP addresses are scanned by default --ip <IP> IP address Supported values: - IP range (e.g. 192.168.1.2 for single device or 192.168.1.2-10 for multiple devices) - predefined variable `{{miner.ip}}` - use when you want to keep current IP Make sure IP range does not overlap with the gateway IP to avoid network disruptions. Size of IP range must be equal or greater than number of selected devices. -n, --netmask <NETMASK> Netmask Defines network size and the range of possible IP addresses within it (e.g. 255.255.255.0). Make sure all selected devices use the same netmask. -g, --gateway <GATEWAY> Gateway Defines IP of a device which is used for forwarding network packets to other networks. Typically, it's a network router (e.g. 192.168.1.1). Make sure all selected devices use the same gateway. -d, --dns <DNS> DNS servers To specify multiple DNS servers, repeat the option for each (e.g. --dns 1.1.1.1 --dns 8.8.8.8) -H, --hostname <HOSTNAME> Hostname The same hostname will be set on all selected devices -y, --yes Proceed with the action without asking for confirmation --pool-presets-file-path <FILE> Path to file with pool presets -p, --password <PASSWORD> Override default password -t, --timeout <DURATION> Timeout for network operations [default: 10s] -r, --scan-rate <RATE> Number of IP addresses scanned per second.
