What's new

 26.06

This release adds the ability to configure Braiins OS advanced settings from both the CLI and GUI.

CLI

  • Configure BOS Advanced Settings: A new advanced command lets you manage Braiins OS advanced settings in batch — list available options (braiins-toolbox advanced list), read current values (braiins-toolbox advanced get), apply changes (braiins-toolbox advanced set), and restore defaults (braiins-toolbox advanced reset). Target every option with --all or specific options with -S <option>.

GUI

  • Configure BOS Advanced Settings: A new menu action opens a modal where you can configure all available Braiins OS advanced settings.
  • Single-Tab Operation: Toolbox can no longer be opened in multiple browser tabs at the same time. This was previously possible as an unintended by-product of the underlying tech stack; restricting it simplifies the software architecture. This decision may change in the future.

 26.05

This release brings several miner management improvements for a better overall user experience.

CLI

  • Per-IP Result Output: The new --print-results option prints results broken out per device IP after batch operations, making it easier to see which miners succeeded or failed. Use --result-format (table or csv) to choose the output format and --result-file to save results to a file.

CLI & GUI

  • Safer Antminer Configuration Changes: Improved reliability when applying pool, work mode, frequency level, and fan settings, preventing miners from ending up in an inconsistent state.
  • Reliable BOS Cooling Configuration: Resolved cases where cooling settings on Braiins OS were saved but not applied.
  • Clearer Invalid Credentials Handling: When an Antminer or Braiins OS device rejects the credentials in use, Toolbox now reports a distinct "invalid credentials" error instead of a generic failure.
  • Improved Miner Detection: More accurate Antminer variant detection during scans, reducing "unknown variant" results.
  • Clearer Compatibility Messages: Messages shown when a miner is unsupported or ineligible for an operation have been reworked across the CLI and GUI.
  • Improved Antminer Communication Reliability: Resolved several edge cases in parsing Antminer responses for more dependable communication.
  • Whatsminer Data Accuracy: Fixed handling of negative chip voltage difference values reported by Whatsminer devices.

 26.03

This release introduces GUI-based temperature management for Braiins OS, improves IceRiver data handling, and enhances boot reliability on Cvitek (Antminer) control boards.

GUI

  • Temperature Control for BOS: Toolbox now supports comprehensive temperature management via GUI mode, allowing configuration of cooling mode, temperature settings, and fan settings.

CLI & GUI

  • Improved IceRiver Data Parsing: Enhanced parsing of IceRiver miner data for more accurate reporting and better overall compatibility.
  • Improved Booting on Antminers (CV1835): Increased boot reliability on Antminers equipped with the CV1835 control board.

 26.02

This release focuses on improved firmware compatibility, faster and more reliable Braiins OS installations, and broader support for the latest Antminer hardware.

CLI & GUI

  • Optimized Braiins OS installation process to make Braiins OS deployments faster and reduce the overall failure rate.
  • Fixed communication issues with Antminers on stock firmware version from September 2025 and newer.
  • Updated the Stratum V2 configuration to support a Stratum V2 pool URL using the new secp256k1 authorization public key.
  • Improved device communication across multiple vendors: Whatsminers (fixed communication issues affecting M6X models), Avalons (improved data parsing) and Antminers (general communication stability improvements).

CLI

  • Added a new --fan-pause-runtimeoption to the braiins-toolbox cooling set command, allowing configuration of fan behavior on Braiins OS when a miner is paused. This option is supported on Braiins OS versions 26.01 and newer.

 25.10

Braiins Toolbox Release 25.10 brings expanded temperature configuration options, detailed hardware information, and more.

CLI

  • Temperature Control for BOS: Toolbox now supports comprehensive temperature management via CLI mode, allowing configuration of cooling mode, temperature settings, and fan settings.

  • Temperature Attributes in Device List (BOS): The GUI now displays BOS temperature-related information, including cooling mode, temperature, and fan attributes for each device.

  • Hardware Attributes in Device List (BOS): Toolbox now shows additional hardware details such as Control Board (CB), Hash Board (HB), and Power Supply Unit (PSU) attributes directly in the Device List.

CLI & GUI

  • Whatsminer API V3 (Beta): Toolbox adds beta support for the new Whatsminer API V3, expanding compatibility with the latest miner firmware.
  • Optimized Miner Detection: Enhanced miner discovery for faster and more accurate detection across mixed environments.
  • General Bug Fixes and Optimizations: Various stability and performance improvements across both CLI and GUI.
